Teach Where Relationships Come FirstWe are seeking a compassionate, creative, and resilient Class Teacher to join our specialist provision for students between 13–18. Our School works closely with our children’s homes to provide a consistent, nurturing, and trauma-informed environment where children feel safe, understood, and able to learn.This is a role for a Teacher who believes in the power of connection, who sees behaviour as communication, and who is committed to helping young people rebuild trust in education.
Your Role
Delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the learning needs of the students
Creating a calm, structured, and emotionally safe classroom environment
Using trauma-informed strategies to support regulation, resilience, and positive relationships
Working closely with the children’s home team to ensure consistency across home and school
Planning personalised learning pathways that build confidence and celebrate progress
Using assessment to inform teaching and track holistic development
Supporting students with social, emotional, and communication needs
Contributing to a multi-disciplinary approach that places the child at the centre
What We’re Looking For
A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent)
Experience teaching secondary school students, ideally within SEMH/SEND settings
Strong subject knowledge, particularly Maths and Science
The ability to deliver engaging lessons
A relational, reflective, and child-centred approach
Confidence in adapting the curriculum to meet diverse needs
Strong behaviour support skills grounded in empathy and understanding
Excellent communication and teamwork, especially across care and education
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
