We are looking for a passionate and driven Front of House team member to join Midsummer House, a two-Michelin-starred restaurant in Cambridge, recognised for its exceptional food, service and hospitality.

TasksPrevious Michelin-starred or fine dining experience is ideal but not essential. We welcome candidates from restaurants, hotels, gastro pubs or other quality hospitality environments who are passionate about delivering excellent service.As a Waiter at Midsummer House, you will play a key role in delivering the high standards expected withing a two-Michelin-starred restaurant.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing warm, professional and attentive service throughout the guest journey.
Presenting menus and confidently explaining dishes, ingredients and allergens.
Developing your knowledge of food, wine, spirits and beverage pairings.
Delivering food and beverages accurately and efficiently.
Maintaining the pace and flow of service while anticipating guest needs.
Upholding exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation.
Working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure seamless service.
Full training and mentoring will be provided to help you develop your skills and confidence within fine dining.

We are looking for someone with:
Previous hospitality experience
A genuine desire to be hospitable and exceed guest expectations
A passion for food, wine and exceptional service
Strong communication and teamwork skills
The ability to remain calm and organised under pressure
Excellent attention to detail
A professional, personable and confident presence on the floor
A genuine desire to learn and develop
You don't need previous Michelin-starred experience. We are looking for the right attitude, work ethic and potential, and we can teach you the rest.

We offer:
Competitive salary package with considerable tronc earnings on top.
Four-day working week, Wednesday to Saturday
Seasonal breaks throughout the year: one week in spring, one week in summer, one week in autumn, and three weeks in winter, including Christmas and New Year.
Staff accommodation available to rent initially for candidates relocating to Cambridge.
